After the tour, the two sides held a meeting in the conference room. Jakarin introduced University of the Thailand Chamber of Commerce. UTCC, founded by the Thailand Chamber of Commerce in Bangkok in 1941, had another campus in Rangoon and has 17,000 students at present. International College of UTCC, established in 2010, is home to more than 400 international students, more than half of which are from China. Being the largest private university of Thailand, UTCC offers the best accountancy major. Currently, it has built partnership on 3+1 and 2+2 programs with a number of universities in China, which are mainly distributed in Guangxi and Yunnan while we are the first college they have contacted in Shanxi Province.

Yusheng Zhang introduced their current 3+1 programs with other colleges on which Deputy President Wu and the Dean of Accounting School Li Gaokui conducted in-depth discussion and proposed a new 3+0.5+0.5 mode --- 0.5 year spent studying in UTCC and the second 0.5 for internship in Chinese companies in Thailand so as to improve their work abilities, laying a foundation for them to apply for jobs either in Thailand or China. This proposal was highly recognized by UTCC and moreover, Jakarin even put forward a short-term exchange student program as a trial for long-term and deep cooperation.

Discussion was also carried out on topics including sharing of teaching resources, Doctoral Program and student exchange. The meeting proved to be a very productive one and staff of our Foreign Affairs Office will work on the follow-up, looking forward to building partnership with UTCC and providing more choices for our students to study abroad.
